Can I be insured in Thailand as a foreigner?
Yes, absolutely. I offer solutions tailored to expats, retirees and foreign entrepreneurs living in Thailand, whatever your nationality. Most of my partners (AXA, MSIG, Allianz…) accept foreign residents with no nationality requirement, subject to the criteria specific to each product.
What is the difference between a broker and a direct insurer?
A direct insurer sells you its own products — and only its own. A broker like IE Solutions is independent: I compare the whole market freely and recommend the offer best suited to your situation. The result: you get an objective choice, with no conflict of interest, and often at a better price.
Up to what age can you take out health insurance?
My partners offer plans for all ages, including people over 60 and 70. Some international health cover is available up to age 80. The terms (premium, exclusions, waiting periods) vary depending on the insurer and the applicant's state of health — that is exactly my job: to find the best option for your profile.
Does my cover work outside Thailand?
It depends on the type of policy. My "Worldwide" health insurance covers you everywhere in the world — and, unlike many policies, with no exclusion for the USA or Canada. Travel insurance covers the duration of your trip. I always specify the exact territory of cover in every quote — no nasty surprises.
How long does it take to receive my quote?
I commit to replying within 24 business hours. For simple requests (travel, car), the answer is often the same day. For more complex cover (health with pre-existing conditions, professional liability), I take the time to compare the market properly before sending you a personalised proposal.
What happens in the event of a claim?
This is where my role as a broker really matters. I act as the intermediary between you and the insurer — I handle the communication, follow the progress of your case and defend your interests through to settlement. In Thailand, procedures can be complex, especially the language barrier: I take care of it all for you, in English, French and Thai.
Can I insure my Thai vehicle?
Yes, whether you own a car, motorbike or scooter registered in Thailand. I offer third-party (compulsory) and comprehensive plans, as well as vehicle repatriation extensions. Cover is valid throughout Thailand, and some plans include Malaysia and Laos.
Do you offer insurance for Schengen visas?
Yes. I offer travel insurance that meets Schengen requirements (minimum medical cover of €30,000, repatriation included). I provide a certificate in both English and French, ready to use for your visa application. Issuance time: a few hours after confirmation.
